The MCA's Annual General Meeting on August 8 has several significant rule change proposals coming up that clubs will need to consider.
The Executive is moving for a change in start time for matches to 12.00 noon where possible, and also broadening the leg side wide tolerance from 12 inches (30.5cm) to 18 inches (46cm) outside leg stump.
Tightening of the rules on "restricted players" and elite players from non-MCA clubs is up for discussion. Field restrictions, previously only used for T20 matches, have also being proposed for one-day games.
The AGM is at St Kilda Bowling Club in Fitzroy St, 7.00pm for 7.15pm start. Clubs are entitled to one voting delegate for each XI that was entered last season.
